in Credit cards
Hi everyone, this is my first post, and, i'm sorry if this isn't in the right section but i'm panicking a little. I have just accidentally send a £160 payment to my arogs card from my bank account via the internet banking instead of the intended destination account for part of my rent.
The argos account balance is currently £0 so when the payment clears (usually after a couple of days) i will be £160 in credit with them.
Needless to say, i need this money back ASAP. I have rung the 24 hour banking helpline and they said there is nothing they can do because the money has already left the account. I will ring argos first thing tomorrow and see what they say, but can anyone advise me on what to do? presumably they have the obligation to either reverse the transaction or send me a cheque and take a couple of % as a token of my gratitude (lol).
Any help would be much apreciated - Dan

They will refund it no problem, normally in the form of a cheque. If the balance on your Argos card as been £0 for a while (I.e. no pending interest) they won't take a fee.
Apologies to the intended recipient I guess are due :rotfl:Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48
