Can anyone help? I did my first job for ESA and submitted it to them, but now it's completely disappeared and I cannot see it anywhere. How do I know I'm going to get paid for it?

I just spent ages looking for a location for an esa shop. And then didn't go in. I'm too much of a coward/ not a good enough actress to carry out the scenario. Ho Hum.

I think it's normal for the ESA jobs to 'disappear' once you've submitted it. You will get paid about the 9th of the following month. If there are any problems they will email you, but usually you don't hear anything, then just get paid.

Aaaargh, I think I have shopped the wrong shop. I was doing a computer game shop for RE and it appears there are 2 in town with similar names. The problem is on the photo upload image on the instructions is the shop that I shopped but the title is the name of the other shop. Confusing!!! What shall I do? Not going back into town, shall I just release it and swallow the fact I have spent 10.00 in the wrong shop? Or try and complete the questionnaire as normal and hope that it is right?

Give them a ring, they're pretty good with payments. The same happened to me and they checked to see if the payment was returned to them and then sent me a cheque to cover it. It was all sorted by the next payment.

Thanks, I gave them a ring and the person I spoke to said I need to open a payment query ticket, which I hadn't noticed the option for before :embarasse I guess it is all a learning curve. Now I am just waiting to see what they say.

Re released jobs for both shops and the notes both have the same picture on.

You'd be better off ringing the contact in the notes. The pictures in the brief are just for example, that specific wave of jobs had two different shop names but they are owned by the same company. So they likely sent the same brief out for them all.

So yeh, just give them a ring, I doubt they will pay you so it'll save you 30 mins in writing the report and they may extend the dates so you can do it again at the right shop in a few days. I'd take whatever you've bought back for a refund and then you're no worse off.

Sorry, another question, I worry about even the smallest thing. Tomorrow dh and I have 5 shops to do in the same town he is doing 3 and I am doing 2. I am wondering how to record the mileage and parking costs for these?

Should I just record the full mileage and parking costs against one job? Probably best if I did it against one of dh jobs as he works full time and I don't. Also occasionally I have needed to do other stuff in town at the same time as ms, so I have needed to get 2 hours parking, but I have only recorded the cost of 1 hours parking against the job. I have been keeping all of my parking tickets. Last week I used a pay at exit car park, but I forgot to press to get a receipt so I haven't recorded any parking costs as I wouldn't be able to prove it.

Ah yes that's logical. Mine was for more than 1 job, but I suppose that would work too. Sorry for telling you to ring them when you didn't need to :embarasse

Does anyone know about RE and a reimbursement fee? I did a job where you had to buy a product in a sports shop and the notes said the reimbursement was £15 and that you could put that to a more expensive item if you wanted but would not be reimbursed more. It did not say anything about spending less. When I have done these type of jobs for GFK you get the whole amount and your purchase comes out of this, yet my fee is showing as the amount I spent - 9.99

Is that right? I have queried but had no response

    Thanks
