I was hoping for some type of questionaire to make notes against although they recommend not doing this....

    No no not at all.
Print off the notes and fill them in as you do the assignment, make sure you have the GAPbuster logo visible at all times. If possible ask the questions straight from the sheet in the order they are given and use exactly the same wording as in the questionnaire, that way you will give the staff every opportunity to answer correctly and so get the perfect score. This will then give you the opportunity to do the job without needing to use any of your well crafted questioning skills :T
Couldn't think of anything witty to say so just keeping the space until I can :(

There are still loads of jobs....they don't pay very well though. .
Remember Gap are Australian. The pay and fee is in Australian Dollars, so what you actually get varies with the exchange rate.

I'm thick I know...BUT....I've got a MS for RE tomorrow - one of the ****** jobs. I'm confused as to which facility I should be visiting - can I choose one of the ones listed or should I some how know which one it is.

I've emailed them but last time I emailed I didn't get a response for 2 days which is a bit late really. I'm confuzzled!

If you go on to active jobs list, then press continue, the address should be on the first page about the job, under the assignment details section. I usually google the address and then it comes up in google maps. I tend to do this anyway unless i'm 100% sure I know which shop it is im supposed to be doing! Hope that helps, I hope I'm understanding your question correctly. If that's a client name though, you should probably remove it! x

Thanks for that. Although you say they pay in AUD why does it specifically state the fee in pounds exctly ?

The AUD is very strong at the mo, so i don't mind being paid in AUD at all.

I think once i have done a few of the MS for Gapbusters I will get used to it and it should be a doddle to fill out the questionairres as i will know what to look for so they won't take that much time thinking and remembering.....

There are parts of me that is doing this for the experience, it is good to know the levels of customer service this leading fast food chains expect.

One day if i open my own business i too will know what level of service to provide my customers with so i can achieve a high level of customer satisfaction.

I am going to enjoy doing the MS. :-D

They fee is in British pounds, not AUD, so the fee you see is the fee you will get.

However, the IBAN is because they are Australian - it is the international banking reference. Some banks automatically put it on top of your bank statements. Some banks only assign you with one if you ask for it. I simply rang my bank and asked for my IBAN number. I felt very nervous about this as I was sure they wouldn't know what I was talking about. However, they knew exactly what I meant and gave it to me over the phone.

Gap are not the only company to require an IBAN number.

    D,

Thanks very much. I have taken on another job now in the same location but for the following week! :-D

I want to challenge myself and see how many of these i can nail in one go....I expect the stores to be very busy with xmas coming up etc etc so it will be challenging for them to meet the service standard IMO.
  • Good Morning all your MS-ers.

Who's got a busy week planned?

I've got a couple in Lakeside today, a bank and a nice department store lunch, then a post office near home on the way back
Tuesday - another post office and greasy burger lunch
Wednesday - Greasy burger breakfast then on to Bluewater for 4 jobs including coffee, mobile phone, kitchen store and department store.
Thursday - fried chicken bucket for dinner :)
Friday - off the Centerparcs for the weekend where I have 2 x coffee jobs and a meal with RE!!!

Today is apparantly the day when most people buy things online - wonder if that means Lakeside will be quiet? I very much doubt it, LOL!!!

  • Lakeside and Bluewater in one week before christmas? That would do it for me - I get really bad pedestrian rage!

People walk so slowly, and they all stand in a line so you can't overtake them, and the shops will be packed.... No Thank you.

I've got quite a quiet week this week. A branded entertainment shop from RE, the other pizza company, a chicken job and a burger job.

On a brighter note, this is my last full working week of the year in my regular full time job. Woo Hoo! Bring on the holidays!
