Both me and my wife had an email today - which went along the following lines...

Write clear reasons for your answers
Do not write "No Comment" when a comment is required
Do not write reports in capitals (this must be important as it was mentioned twice in the email)

It looks like just a generic email - as these are not things we ever do anyway.
Praying at the church of MSE should be compulsory!

I've just logged onto Bare to try and pick up 1 of the self assign sports shops that was on the Alerts thread. It says a range of dates, but then also says it can only be done on Tuesday to Thursday, it looks to me like I can only do it today. It seems a bit short notice.

How odd! I'm yet to have one but it doesn't sound like you've been specifically targeted for any reason.
  • Has anyone had a shop for Gyp only to find it closed down a week ago when you get there? Just gone in to town and the shop closed last week!! I have taken pictures but unsure how I report this and am I likely to be paid or not?

    Thanks in advance

  • I have not had any for ages despite keep logging in and checking. The bowling ones cannot be shopped within 9 months! I was even gonna email them to make sure I am still on their books as I used to get about the same amount of jobs offered as you.
I've had nothing from them for over 18 months. Then this morning I get an email about a family visit for the weekend, which usually I'd jump at. BUT .. sods law .. my son is having his birthday party on Saturday .. guess where .. at the bowling alley!! Don't think we can cope with bowling all weekend (although hubby & I used to do it, we met at the bowling alley, I ran the Ladies League and he ran the Mens which was immediately after it!)

    Yes. Deleted it.

Who is GYP? Not one I think I'm familiar with but very new to all this!

GYP = Gapbuster, people like to nickname this as they are hard work.

I usually get allocations from OC at least once a month, but I have not had any since the beginning of October. Is this the same for anyone else? Is it just a quiet time of year or is it me?
I was offered a bowling job with them recently, unfortunately couldn't accept it as it was for a couple and we can't really afford the babysitter for the fee involved. I've been offered a couple of others last month I think, but other people had beaten me to them.

I'm just filing in the details of a 'shopping channel' enquiry - it states clearly in my paperwork that I have to give details of the call on the same day as I did it which is ok - I am trying to.... It then goes on to ask me for details of the delivery of the product which isn't due until the 20th November.....am I missing something here??

    Hi J,

I don't know if you found out the answer to your question, but I have just completed part one of this assignment. It is in two parts, the first part is the telephone call and the order, and the second part is another telephone call and the return. You have to fill in the first part up to the expected date of delivery, then you stop. Go back about 7 pages, saving each one as you go. There is a second vin number form to fill in when the product arrives. You have to return the product within 2 days of it's receipt, by taking it to your local Post Office. If you want to know anything more, PM me. :)
We could all learn a little something from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism.
