If I'd have known that we would have popped round for a brew.I don't want to make you jealous but I only live about 5-10 minutes away from Beamish Museum.

If you are interested in this period then the book Round About A Pound A Week is well worth reading. It has recently been republished by Persphone Books and details the financial situation of working families in the early 20thC.0 -
