Hi Jo, just wanted to pop on to your shiny new diary with my two penneth!

I'm quite similar to you to where money is concerned and it takes over my mind all the time how I have no money despite working FT.

What has really really helped me for the last 12mths I have been decluttering away on ebay/freecycle/charity shop/bin. It has helped me beyond belief to fly each week and regain some shiny surfaces at home bit by bit, week by week, month by month.

Having more space makes me feel better when I get rid or sell various items. Easier for me as I am on my own in a little terrace than you with your family in a little house.

Decluttering has cleared my mind and all being well next year I should have decluttered enough to decorate (if I manage to cobble enough money together NO!!! THINK POSITIVELY!!! YOU WILL FIND ENOUGH TO MAKE IT NICE)

My motivation wanes too - can't ever seem to attack the paying off the CC, really wish I could manage this as I would feel so much better in doing this.

I keep thinking about doing a diary too haven't got around to it yet - see if this would help me get more on track.

Good luck on your journey Jo!

    I'll never change ;)

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We can all change - whenever we choose to.

Sometimes we chose to change our thinking and behaviour and sometimes we don't.

Awwwwww! You don't need to change everything about you, just what you want to :D Plus you are a lovely open person :D

  • Right I'm with the Hypno theory that my total chaos suits the way things happen, you just deal with it. I'd just like to deal with it in a tidier house...

Jo your shoe example is perfect example of incidents in my house, only difference being the dog would have taken it and left in in the garden , it will have been raining etc etc etc

Having said all that would you believe I am a glass half full person :) (AF of course !)

HB, Thank you, I mean, THANK YOU for bringing pictures of nice looking men into my thread :T (note for future visitors.....pictures of fit men always welcome :) gotta have summat in life huh ).

Fedupski, welcome to my shiney new diary with fit men attached :D you must definately start a diary, I love reading your posts :D I do believe you about the flying and motivation and decluttering. I have touched on flying previously, last year when I was down in the dumps with the tip that I lived in (not dirty, just messy :)) and joined the flylady thread and the half hour cleans, felt really good to turn the pooter off for half hour then come back really smug that you've achieved what you wanted to! Please pop back soon for choklit and cake :) xx

DC, your shoe story made me giggle, thankfully I don't have a dog to take the shoes into the garden, but I do have a son that comes through the door and takes one shoe off, then walks around with the other one on for 20 minutes before decided to shed it in a completely different room.....same happens with socks

40SM, thanks for the link and for popping in.....I would love an organised life (I think ), but think maybe I'm still at this stage :o:D

Well feeling extremely proud of myself. Cleared toys away (chucking some that haven't seen the light of day for a while whilst kids weren't looking) then got shot of loads of clothes that no longer fit. Then sorted the washing, just gotta do it now  that's a job for later. Kids are scrubbed and clothed and ready to terrorise the staff in Tesco with my dear ole mum in toe, so I shall see you all later

What a productive day so far :D

    xx
