Complaint - send to manufacturer or retailer?

Hello!
Not sure if this is the right area but also not relly sure where else to put it!
I redid my hall floor last month in laminate and finshed the edges off with a edging that is supposed to stick to the skirting boards. Well needless to say it does not stick at all even though I made sure I cleaned the skirting board and followed the instructions before I put it down. I keep catching the smaller bits with my trousers or whatnot and kicking them clean across the room.
I am so disappointed with this product that (probably for the first time) I am going to make a formal complaint about it. So the advice I am looking for is do I complain straight to the manufacturer themselves? Or is it a case of complain to the retailer who sold me it. I only bought it in August time.
Anyone help me out with an opinion? Cheers!

What about trying Glue? Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

If you quote me, don't forget the capital 'M'

Try 'No More Nails' or a similar product.
What did you use to stick it with in the first place?make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Yeh but I'm not asking for how to stick it back on - it's more that I bought a product that I belive is not up to the job and I would like to let them know about it.
For the record I will be replacing them with wooden edging nailed down when I get the time

It comes with a sticky edge on it, you pull the cover strip off it and push it up against the wall where it is supposed to stick to the skirting board and give you a "professional finish".0

The trouble with these things is that you dont know how long they have been stored or where. The glue could be dried up by now.
If you like the effect, there is no reason why 'no more nails' shouldnt work.
But if you complain yu should go back to the retailer as that is who the contract is with.
good luckmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

Those sticky edgings are a waste of time, just get some no nails and some small tacks and jobs a good un0

Probably just send a letter of to the manufacturer but they will want a batch number or other such info. Do you have that info?
How much effort do you want to put into it? Is it worth it?0
