Backlog of post at Royal mail ??

Following the postal dispute recently, I recall reading there were 1 million or so items of post stored at some sorting office waiting for the postal workers to resume normal working and clearing backlogs - anyone know whether any backlog still exists ??

well where are you talking about?
london,sotland or what?
the Edinburgh MC should be up to date now AFAIK
there hasnt been a 'the postal dispute' as there have been no national strikes0 -
There was a news report last week that there is a backlog and due to the fact that RM are not willing to pay over time to staff to clear it, the post is just sat there as newer mail is dealt with.

so whats does it say, some stopped 2 or 3 times
so thats 2 or 3 days in most cases
if its a delivery office then it only really affects the direct area
if its a mail centre then it has a nantional effect however the edinburgh MC was out last about 8 days ago and that was cleared before the end of last week
lets not forget this is the same RM who manipulate traffic figures already and have an ongoing investigation of mail centre managers (nationally) falsifying quality of service figures
RM could face fines of £40 million for this.right now a large number of mail centre managers are on suspension for this with their blackberrys/laptops having been confiscated by RM's investigators.

so perhaps RM are now using true figures?0
