After using Norton I went for Bitdefender after asking asking others for advice but I'm no expert. I can tell you my laptop seemed to run faster with it though.0

I use AVG Antivirus free along with Kerio Firewall.0

Zone Alarm and AVG grisoft for me.

Nod32 is one of the best av solutions. It costs around £25 a year. It's an excellent av. If you don't want to spend, then AVG is a good free alternative.
For a firewall I like Sunbelt Kerio Personal Firewall (free). It's still generally quite light and easy to use. ZoneAlarm is another free alternative.
For anti-spyware I prefer paid for solutions. Spyware Doctor (£22) or Counterspy (£14) are two very good options. I find Spyware Doctor very good, but it can be quite heavy on your system. Counterspy is definitely worth considering, especially at £13.
For free alternatives try Spyware Blaster, Spyware Guard, and AdAware. I found Spyware Blaster conflicted with something on my system (possibly Nod32 or Kerio or PeerGuardian) and wouldn't let me online at all (so it had to go)."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0 -
I purchased the Xoftspy Spyware which I have found to be useful and effective so far. Cost was about £13
I think i'll try this AVG out. Now all I need to do is decide upon a Firewall.
Thanks for all your input so far people.
Keep it coming.0 -
