hi, after looking for a car for my 18yr old picky child, with no avail, (wrong colour, wrong bumper, wrong interior!!!!) i went out and bought her and insured her a N reg fiesta ghia... no options, no choices, this is what your having..... end of.
anyway she now wants a decent cd player.. it looks like the factory radio is a deep (6 inches or so) unit. so what can i replace it with ? any ideas? around £50 ;-)...
bless her she gone to work in it today with a miserable face  ungrateful little darling.....

WE need help !
Looking at the car , they are using a 'cheap' ??? gadget that plugs into the cigarette
lighter, then they tune the radio to pick up the MP3 player
As you are already in the doghouse , perhaps a few minutes conversing might pay dividends0 -
Took too long to type
get her one of them fm
Thats the thing .0 -
You need one of these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FP-07-00-Ford-Fiesta-Mk4-Mk5-Stereo-Fitting-Package_W0QQitemZ160362853413QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_FasciaPlates_SM?hash=item25565ef425&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 and then go to Aldi next week and get one of these http://www.aldi.co.uk/uk/html/offers/2827_11437.htm. Bluetooth handsfree / card reader / aux input / radio / cd / remote control.0

I'm not sure if it is the same for the fiesta, But i thought that ford used the double din radios, So if you buy that radio from Aldi you may need to buy a fascia plate adapter to account for the size difference.
*edit* sorry just realised the top link already has one .Doh.War does not decide who is right, It decides who is left.0 -
Maybe go to Lidl on 12th Oct for this http://www.lidl.co.uk/uk/home.nsf/pages/c.o.20091012.p.CD_MP3_Car_Radio.ar11 not quite as good spec as Aldi but another cheap option.0
