Scaffolding quote, is this right?

I got three quotes recently to go around a pair of semi-detatched houses, two garages at the front two conservatories at the rear and they ranged from £650 to £800 so I would say your quote isnt too expensive.

HSS hire shop, cherry pickers are about 400 for the weekend and 500 for a week.

We hire several scaffolds a year using 2 or 3 different firms.ranging from small platform through to complete houses. This sounds a good price to me.

I think the OP is being very unrealistic in his/her expetations.

£300 is fine. You not going to get someone to do it for £50 cash anymore. Scaffolds have to have a certificate, the scaffolders have to be qualified. These days scaffoling is a technical trade not just someone who knows what hes doing and gets a few mates in on min wage.

Just done a goole search and as an example found this firm look at the prices, £300 is cheap:
