Podcasting software recommendations

Hi
Can anyone recommend a decent podcast software/site.
Sorry if this is an "idiot's guide to podcasts" question, but i am assuming, that from the software site, i can subscribe to podcasts - say from the bbc, and download them to my mp3 player?
Are all software for podcasts the same? Also, i don't have an ipod - so itunes is out.
The bbc site - lists "doppler" and "juice" as popular but just thought i'd ask.
Thanks

Juice is very good. I've used that in the past. Great for setting schedules etc...
I'm actually just getting back into Podcasts again. Downloaded the Ricky Gervais episodes recently, very good from what I've listened to so far."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0 -
Juice is very good. I've heard some people having problems with Doppler - though I've never tried it.
I can't remember if Juice has the ability to automatically put your podcasts on an mp3 player.
If end up having to manually put your sfiles on your player then you might as well try Itunes and drag things from there. Thought it is unbelievably big, its podcast catalogue probalby makes it one of the best choices for a newbie - along with the fact that just about every podcast site has a 'Subscribe with itunes' button0 -
Thanks - i will probably try juice. Though i thought those with ipods could use itunes - or is that me being naive.
thanks again0 -

The only thing Itunes will sync with is an Ipod. But you don't have to own an Ipod to use Itunes.
That's why I said if other podcast software requires you to manually move podcasts you might as well use Itunes.
You can just drag files out of the Itunes window and it moves them to the destination.
I've just seen that Winpodder has been given 10 out of 10 in Podcast User magazine (issue 2) but it's only for XP service pack 20 -
Another vote for Juice!0
