Thank you gifts

What do I get people for thank you gifts?
I mean like Chief bridesmaid, Father of the bride, mother of the bride, father of the groom, best man etc?
Tiny budget, £5-£10 pp and 7 or 8 people.
I have bought the bridesmaids dresses though on the "your dresses are your gift" thing, for the nieces. They're all pretty dresses that aren't restricted to being bidesmaid dresses.
Any thoughts?
I had thought a bottle of spirits each but that's easily gonna be £100.

If my typing is pants or I seem partcuarly blunt, please excuse me, it physically hurts to type. :wall: If I seem a bit random and don't make a lot of sense, it may have something to do with the voice recognition software that I'm using!

I was chief bridesmaid at my sister's wedding last week. She gave me and the other bridesmaids a glass photo frame each (proper heavy things, two thick pieces of glass!) In the other bridesmaids frames she put a photo of them on the hen weekend doing pole dancing LOL; she fashioned a picture of me and her in mine in black marker pen as I missed that part!
My two DDs were bridesmaids as well and she got them one of those sets of necklaces that have two chains and fit together to make a heart... DDs are quite fascinated by them! They and me have also got our dresses though they're quite dressy so prob will keep them for a very special occasion!Dealing with my debts!Currently overpaying Virgin cc -balance Jan 2010 @ 1985.65Now @ 703.63

I got my BMs necklaces and Chiefy got a bracelet to match. I got mine in the sale at Debenhams but you can easily get some nice cheapish ones on ebay. For the Best Men we havent don anything yet as we are stilll waitiing the professional photos back and we were just going to get engraved photo frames with a nice pic of them all in which you can get on ebay and most places Ive seen will do free engraving or discount if you buy x amount.
For the mums we got bunches of flowers which we gave them on the day0 -
For the flower girls, they're getting their dresses, the tiaras that I'm making each of them and a necklace that I've made, we're going to put these in some little tins I got in the confetti sale with a little 'made for you' charm on.
Our nephews are mini-ushers (i.e. handing out the order of ceremonys) so we've made them some boy necklaces - black leather thongs with granite style pendents - also putting these in the cream tins.
We are giving our Mum's a centre piece off the tables each - my partner is making stained glass candle holders. We may also get my parents a thank you gift afterwards as they have said that they will give us some money (no idea how much but any little is a bonus!) but my partners Mum is not in a position to help and we wouldn't want her to feel awkward.
Not sure about our 'Best Women' maybe a nice necklace each?
My sister is doing a reading, as is our friend who is also singing with her hubby for us - we thought we'd give them a stained glass candle holder too.
I hope this doesn't sound really cheap? But we thought they would like something that was a momento of the day and each have been delighted with stained glass pieces that my partner has made for them previously!"Normal is not something to aspire to - it is something to get away from" - Jodie Foster0 -
Hi all - i am only having one bridesmaid and thats my niece who will be neary 16 when i get married....i want to get her something lovely that she can keep and that will not be so trendy she hates it in 5years lol but also something she can wear now.
So am getting her this http://uk.tiffany.com/Shopping/item.aspx?sku=25102673&aid=201&cid=288153&search_params=s+5-p+1-c+288153-r+-x+-n+6-ri+-ni+1-t&mcat=148204
But obviously if i was having to buy more than one i bloomin' wouldn't spend so much LOL!!!
I must say i don't like giving any gifts that are particularly wedding themed because i don't think people will use them...ie a glass with mine and hubbys name on etc....I certainly wouldnt use that if it was me, which then makes the item not really worth the money!! Each to their own though obviously :A
I am having lovely autumn wreaths made of wheat, white rosebuds and rust coloured flowers (flowers all silk not fresh) for centrepieces (with 3 ivory candles in the middle), which i may possibly give to my gran, mum etc as they would probably like a reminder from the day but thats about as much other gift giving as i can do LOL
Sorry to have gone off topic lolBaldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?0 -

wow big momma - i have been looking at tiffany jewellery to get my two bridesmaids. they are my cousins and have been like sisters to me. i looked at the exact same necklace for them!!!
i've got a year and a half to decide(and save lol) theyre not cheap! but they are a good brand, and something my cousins would b guarenteed to wear lots and lots, not just stuck in the back of the jewellery box.:heartsmil Getting Married 11th June 2011 to the lovely Graham:heartsmilWedding/honeymoon fund so far £69000 -
oh i love tiffany...what a lucky girl
bridesmaids and ushers - not too sure yet, we were thinking of watches, different one for each person so it matches them and will be something they will actually use
i have got the bridesmaids jewellery for the day, but its come in really cheap so I wanted to get them something else
flower girl, i am planning on getting a musical jewellery box (havnet found any i like yet tho, so feel free to suggest places to me ladies)
page boy - so far I have got him a soft vw splitscreen camper.....he is utterly obsessed with volkswagens so I thought it was perfect for him (and a bargain at a fiver lol) I will probably get him something else to go with it tho ..maybe in the jan sales
parents - i have absolutely no idea lol i was thinking of getting my dad something to give him in the morning of the wedding, something personal from his little girl but not sure what at the mo, maybe a hip flask with a nice message on it, and maybe a little pocket photo album full of photos of us
best man - we have absolutely no idea.....non at all...he is more than a little difficult to buy for
maid of honour (my best mate) - purple (her fav coulour) i pod nano...yes its expensive but i think she deserves it and no one else in her life will ever buy her one (and she would never treat herself) also her birthday is just before the wedding, so im telling her its a joinet birthday and wedding giftMarried on 5th March 2010still lurking on the wedding board tho :rotfl:0
