I would be far more worried about the leather cracking than fading if it was in a conservatory.0

You can treat them with hide food to help prevent cracking.0

leather chairs/sofas will fade, crack and dull with abrasions by key/coins in pockets. no different with the leather seats in my car. I've tried various products to buff up and retain lustre to my seats and the best product I've found so far is SADDLE SOAP. laborious but ultimately worth it.
hope this helps.
oh, and for god's sake, keep any cats you might have off it!miladdo0 -
Leather fades - I have a 30 year old chesterfield - looks fab though until there is a split appears then you realise how much it has faded! Saddle soap is by far an away the best but don't buy the expensive spray versions - buy solid bar version, when the bar gets too little to use or cracks into pieces melt it in the microwave in a plastic pot (empty marg tub) - really good if you have loads of bits to get more use out of them. Don't put too much on either.
Also good for a deep treatment is either neatsfoot oil or even better and cheaper Carr's leather oil - you don't need to do this often (1 or 2 times a year) you do need to let the oil soak in over night and you don't apply a lot i.e. it should all soak in within a couple of minutes. Apply with a brush for ease and not too much wastage.
Local saddlers are a good bet - or on-line stores like robinsons country leisure or SCATS country stores.
Regular treatment will stop the appearance of splits, and to some extent the fading but it is something you will have to accept if you put the sofa's in there! Enjoy them though!Money - the root of all evil some say.

Little tip for leather sofa's. Open your window on a rainy day, the leather will soak up the moisture in the air and help it stay supple and help reduce cracking.I live in my own little world, but it's ok as everyone knows me here
