in Parking tickets, fines & parking
hi guys

received a letter stating 'notice of intended court proceedings'... second letter regarding a parking charge.... 'legal action will be taken to recover the debt will be taken against you'...

will ignore as have previous letter... ??

ps letter look v handmade.... only gives mobile number with address....

reassurance please! (although do feel better when looking through the site but somehow its different when its you!

    Is that exactly as it's written? It doesn't even make sense.

    i didnt want to post whole letter/phone number as i know there have been cases of ppcs looking on these sites?

    and yes nickmidgley it is -

    'take notice that according to our records the sum of £200 is overdue for payment. No response to our payment reminder has been received. unless payment is made to the above address within 7 days, legal action to recover the debt will be taken against you without further notice'.

    its only the 2nd letter received - was for supposedly parking in a friends private car park without displaying a visitors permit. no evidence as to who was driving the car. They didnt even give whoever was driving a ticket at the time, the letter was the first i heard of it - they must have tracked me as the driver through the dvla.

    i know they are all a bunch of scammers but it does make you worry still!

    No, they have tracked you as the owner through DVLA

    They would have to prove you were driving it.

    The DVLA does not keep details of ownership, it is the Registered Keeper.
    The Registered Keeper, the keeper, the driver and and the owner may be four different people.
