Anyone else had red urine after eating beetroot?

I know this is sort of a medical question but I'm convinced it must be the beetroot.
Had 2 weetabix at 8am.
Nothing else to eat until 6pm when my wife came home and a friend had given her some home made pickled beetroot.
I decided to try it and it was lovely. Must have had about 15 slices.
Anyway, just went to the loo and my wee came out pinky red. It made me panic for a moment, but looking at it it didn't look like blood so I suspect it's the beetroot?
Anyone else ever had this? Have no abnormal pains, feel as well as ever etc.
If it's still there on Monday will go to the doctors.

Don't worry. My Mum tells everyone the tale of when I was a baby and I loved beetroot so much that it turned my wee pink!0

Yes mine turns pink too when I eat (a lot) of beetroot!0

You have to eat quite a lot but it does happen, HM beetroot is yummy and probably fresher so more pigment to pass through the system. Don't panic LOL...0

Ahhh this reminds me of my time in Minsk a couple of years ago. I was at my friend's apartment and she prepared me some Borsht (something like Beetroot soup). I have to say it was lovely stuff, but I suffered horrendous consequences. My digestive system was going to pot anyway and the following day I was given a generic version of imodium.
The same evening as having the Borscht, we + friends went to watch Arsenal FC play a champions league game against CSKA Moscow, at some sports lounge bar in the city. At half time I was desperate for the toilet. Having made the dash, I sat down on the loo and what came out was something I had never seen before. Everything was like purple/pink(ish). It was enough to shock me, although I didn't panic. I later found out from a doctor in UK, the effect was caused by beetroot.
Sorry for the indepth detail, but the doctor told me that beetroot can change the colour of your number 2 or 3. Hope this helps others at least.:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:D:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:jMe and the gang!!!0 -

when i was a little one - my nan fed me beetroot and i liked it - she was a dr's receptionist and i was still nappies - as i liked beetroot so much she gave me more - and then panicked when she changed me (red in nappie) called one of he dr colleagues in the middle of the night as a result and felt quite silly after the dr had visited!!Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"0
