Hi guys

My telewest tv box is too big to fit in my new lovely TV cabinet and I was wondering if I can buy a smaller cable tv boxes that I can just put my card in and watch tv as usual? if so, what kind of box am I looking for? Can I just buy a freeview box that has a card slot? Where would I get one of these boxes and how much am I looking at having to spend?

Thanks

Only telewest boxes will work on the telewest network. Whatever you buy from other people will invalidate your TW contract and probably not work anyway.

What box do you have currently? There are some newer silver boxes out there that replace the old PACE (grey) models and a significantly better.

If you have a pace box, it could always develop an intermittent problem which you could report and get a box swap ;)

I expect if you just rang them and said you might have to cancel your contract with them as the box is too big for the TV stand, they will volunteer to swap it for a smaller one anyway.

I don't think they do a smaller one, I've had a couple now becuase of faults and they all seem roughly the same size.

Yep, its one of the pace big grey things, and its about 2 or 3 inches too wide! I think ill try giving them a call and see about a replacement as its developed a fault ;) Thanks!

if not move your digi box to a space out of the way and get a digisender with remote eye, so all you need is the little box under the tv and the other out the way
