Need help for refunding problem

Hi I bought a TV from Richer Sounds 2 days ago. For the reason it doesnot come with PC Input, I would like to return it and get refund. But Richer Sounds asked me to pay £50 for handling charge, because I have owned it for 2 days, although I did not even take the TV out of the box. I did remove the tape and took a look, but I think it is still at the condition as new. So can anyone help me how to claim this unfair charge back. Thanks. Ray

You can only demand a refund if the TV is faulty. Anything else is up to the seller. This is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !0

did you buy it instore or online0

whats the issue with the PC input?
what TV is it?
mine took a bit of fiddling before i got it working
oops misread it,as said you bought the TV you chose,it not coming with a PC input isnt the retailers problem
it its an HDMI eqipped TV then you can use a DVI to HDMI convertor0 -
Did you ask them for one with pc input?Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
Now 20% cooler0 -
I bought it from store. It is philips 9000. Actually I want to buy the samsung 8000. They said it was not in stock, recommanded this one to me, said much better than samsung. I took it home, checked the specification, no PC input, That is why I took it back. If I bought it from Dixsons or any other store, I do not think they would charge me extra for refunding.0

they offered another model but you never asked about a pc input
remember this is a TV you are buying not a monitor0 -

Maybe not but legally you have no entitlement here to any sort of refund so its up to you. Keep the TV or lose the £50. Its your own fault for not checking properly the spec before buying it.
As for what Dixons would do. Irrelevent.0 -
dixons would refund you but only because theyre online only and they legally have to just like any other online transactions. its sister companies currys and pc world most certainly not give you a refund of any sort and frankly, you are either extremely naive or stupid to think otherwise (you decide which).
back to your situation, as stated live with the tv or pay the £50 as it is entirely, 100% your fault and should go down as experience for future purchases.
Personally i think you should keep the tv and find a suitable converter from whatever your laptop has to whatever the tv has.
sorry if i sound rude, but its just very blunt and what some people need to hear in these situations to accept what they have and live with their mistake.
EDIT: I JUST CHECKED OUT RICHER SOUNDS, THEY DO 3 PHILIPS 9000 SERIES TV'S 2 OF WHICH ARE THE SAME JUST DIFFERENT SIZES, ALL 3 HAVE HDMI INPUTS, S VIDEO INPUTS AND MOST IMPORTANTLY PC INPUTS, SO EVEN IF YOU DID SPECIFY PC INPUTS YOU HAVE BEEN GIVEN WHAT ASKED FOR. THEY JUST LACK DVI INPUTS BUT THIS IS IRRELEVANT AS CHEAP CONVERTERS ARE AVAILABLE OFF AMAZON. OH AND YOU CANT SAY THATS ONLINE AND NOT INSTORE AS ALL 3 MODELS ARE INSTORE ONLYBack by no demand whatsoever.0
