  • Below is an example of how a £5k increase would change your tax credits award.

    This is based on a single adult household with 2 children.

    As stated previously, although you lose £150 per 'month', you are earning £384 more meaning an increase of £234 before tax & NI.

    ha ha deedee you wally, its paid every 4 weeks not month like above. so you wont be worse off as you could get it paid tax credits twice in 1 month.

    My figures are based on an annualised amount.

    The phrase granny and sucks eggs comes to mind......as a single income household, I'm fully aware how to budget, thank you.
