Single and in Debt Part 3- The problem of surplus and excess women

I tried to watch a bit of the Brits but it's just too noisy, can't bear all that screaming
. Had to turn it off. That makes me feel very old:o.
I am having a bit of a disaster as in a fit of pique I have thrown all my bedding out. I was going to replace it with some lovely bedding that I had tucked away and was saving for when I got my own house but I decided to get it out and use it, only to find it wasn't sealed properly and had a large stain from where it was stored on top of the wardrobe against the ceiling. I have washed it twice now and it has mostly disappeared, but it is pale bedding so still noticable. I will give it another go with some Vanish tomorrow, but if that doesn't work I will have to throw it out and I have no other bedding:eek:. Am sleeping under a pile of blankets tonight.
Once its washed it is to all intents and purposes clean can you not put it stain side down on the bed?
xxNevertheless she persisted.0 -

It's patterned on one side (the stained bit) and plain on the other, if I can't get the stain out I will just have to have the plain bit on top.:( I am not buying any more bedding. I am being frugal and making the best of what I have:D. Thankfully my Sainsburys order included 5 bottles of wine so one of them is currently softening the blow:)Pay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -
Oh what a shame sarah

Have you tried asking over on Old Style for any tips on stain removing products. I'd never used stardrops until a fab MSE er gave me a bottle & it even removed pasta sauce stains from DDs school shirt after a coupel of washes.
Failing that ... you can have new bedding & I'll have some new boots - we can call it a truce eh ?

I tried some Stardrops but I didn't dare put too much on as I have read on OS about people doing that and coming home to a flooded kitchen. It has removed most of it, will have another go with Vanish and Stardrops tomorrow.

Hello & welcome trudij
- I think you qualify on all counts other than the growing up bit - we try to live in an eternal never never land here
sarah - ooh you're so strict, I do declare you're trying to get me out of debt more than I am myself :rotfl:
If the bedding is cotton or cotton mix, you could dye it, I had some that had faded & dyed it a while back & it's fine now.0
