    ..though i'd go for pipe insulation that says it meet water regs/byelaws - not all of it does and is a bit thinner. The wickes stuff i linked to before is ok. You may need to buy some decent tape to secure it - though make sure it's waterproof else it will just peel off as soon as it gets damp as i discovered myself using cheap B&Q gaffer tape. You can get clips to clip it in place but they are quite pricey for what they are so i wouldn't bother.

    Thanks, I would probably go for the Climaflex but want to make sure I buy the right size. Is there a way I could check without having to climb on the flat roof to gain access & measure. I assume it is 22 mm, what if it is bigger? I am just wondering whether the boiler pipes are universal!! Thanks

    it will be 21.5mm
    its standard overflow pipe
