Wires crossed I think.
But saying you could get 7X your wage at 110% LTV from a lender you can't remember or never applied to is.

The large monthly increases we have been enjoying will slow right down, some months will be negative.
According to nationwide NI house prices have risen over 9% :rotfl:
The reality is prices in my area have not risen. I keep a close eye on the trees dont grow to the sky website as they seem much more informed

Thats the average.
The average of 3.5x ended in 2002.
Julie is talking about loan to salary, not house price to salary, IE factoring in deposit. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Are people still losing their jobs, having their hours cut and being asked to take pay drops?
Perhaps 6mths ago, but now? I thought this was all but done and dusted.
Recession is all but over, things are picking up.I think you've been on here too much reading drivel posted by the wishful thinking brigade. Do not believe everything you read, have you seen more homeless people on the street the last 18mths? What about mass riots, burglaries etc?
Things aren't all that bad, just on MSE they are;)
Are you taking the !!!!?

If those loans ever appeared  they would have most likely been for young professionals who would be expected to increase salaries fairly rapidly.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0
