Legal Requirments for ebay and car boots.

Hi i am thinking of selling computer parts and accessories on ebay and or car boots and my question is do i have to have any licence or tax requirements in order to do this because the last thing i need is a big fine of the goverment or whoever moderates this sort of thing.

You'll only need to register as a business if you will be trading (i.e.buying computer parts with the pupose of selling them on). If you are just ebaying some spare parts that you've got laying around your house in order to get rid of them then you're classed as just selling your own goods and you do not need to register with HMRC.No trees were killed to send this message, but a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced. - Neil deGrasse Tyson (@neiltyson)0
