Problems with R4i card when using with new Nintendo DSi

I purchased a new R4i card for my daughters Nintendo DSi that i bought last week. But have faced an issue when i try to access the R4I card from the menu of the console.

I have downloaded the correct English version of the "Kernel" software from official R4i website. Installed it onto the micro SD card as well.

But when I switch on the DSi and navigate to R4 option on the menu it loads another screen and give the following message.

Loading....

Please upgrade the hardware for support latest Firmware..

Can someone advise what needs to be done at this stage to be able to gain success.

Much appreciated

You have to get the correct software for the R4 cart.
There isn't an official website - only the makers of the cart's websit , and there are many. The correct website will be on the R4 box.

Try this site and read the cart website address to get the right d/load.
    http://www.linfoxdomain.com/nintendo/ds/
    Otherwise work through them all.
The correct website will help a lot.
  • Can anyone advise please
My dd at the mo has a DS which she uses with a TT card with micro SD. She would like the DSi but I understand the TT won't work in there so what would I have to do to make it work - I did read somewhere else someone said you only have to copy the games and software onto a normal memory card for the DSi memory card slot, is this correct?
    TIA

Are we allowed to discuss piracy on this site?

I wouldn't bother with a DSI anyway. Oh yeah, larger screen, but shorter battery life, no GBA port and a rubbish camera. WOW!
