Buyer not responding to collect item they won? Please advise

On the 24th of Sept someone won a collection of books, which I clearly marked as 'buyer to collect and pay cash on collection' due to the weight of it all.
I sent the buyer an invoice, included my mobile phone number to arrange the collection and noticed that the seller lives over 200 miles from me.
Next day, I receive notification of a paypal payment for these books. I emailed the buyer again and said please retract your payment as I will only accept cash on collection and please advise when you would like to collect. He emailed me back next day or so to advise he would contact me on Monday.
Monday has been and gone...I emailed them again yesterday asking when they will collect/pay these books. No reply so far.
How long should I leave it? I am a patient person but I feel they are just taking me for a ride.....
And what should I do next?

You cant retract a paypal payment so you have been paid. Its up to the buyer now to arrange collection or their own courier.0

Try phoning the buyer as that often gets their attention.
Unfortunately as steviebabes says you can't refuse their paypal payment. Should have said, he has retracted the payment as soon as I asked him to. My reason for this was that if/when he collects the books, I can't proof he has them (maybe paranoid about reading some horror stories on MSE).0

As I said you cant retract a paypal payment, only you can refund him so you must still have the money.0

The paypal on collection scam is a well known one, but unfortuantely ebay say that paypal must be accepted if used, that's why many of us smaller sellers no longer offer items that need to be collected on ebay.
