Cashback cards

in Credit cards
Howdy, I’ve had a look at the cashback cards part of the website and it seems that a Barclaycard cashback one is the way to go, I just thought I’d get the (hopefully confirmatory) opinions of some of you clever lot and answers to a couple of questions.
Firstly, I’m going to get this credit card with my girlfriend so we can split the cost of shopping; put all grocery on this card and then DD half each, each month. I’m going to ask for 2 cards for this account, one for each of us. I seriously doubt we spend £100 on food a week, so that puts us under the £5k line between Barclaycard cashback and Egg cashback.
The Questions:
- Do you think we’ll be able to DD half each? Do CC providers allow this?
- How important is the GF’s credit rating? Mine’s pretty stonkingly awesome, but she’s never had a line of credit before (other than a mobile) so her’s won’t be mega.
- I’ve already got an egg cashback card which I don’t pay the £1 management fee on (afaik) do you think they’d give me another account with the old terms and conditions as I’m an existing customer? All they can say is no I suppose…
Thanks for your help!

You won't be able to get a credit card in both names. One will be the account holder, the other a supplimentary holder.
Only one can be responsible for the bill and DD from that person.
If you have the best credit rating, put it in your name and she can transfer 1/2 of the bill each month directly into your account. The DD will come out in full from your account.0 -
in any event, assuming she is responsible with money, it's best if she gets her own CC (any card ) so she can build up her own credit record... just use the card regularly for things she buys anyway, set up a DD to pay in full.0

Hmm, that's a shame. Maybe I should rethink my strategy.
She's on a decent wage and won't have any derogatory data on her credit file; do you think she could secure the cashback card with Barclays? They won't be looking for uber high credit score people for this type of product will they.0 -
Credit is quite difficult to come by, but no-one can tell you whether you will get it or not.
She could get her credit reports to see what they say.
Has she had a catalogue account, overdraft etc.
These might be shown.
It's also very important that she's on the electroral role, and not moving about is also good.
If you're not in s desperate rush it might be worth getting her Equfax and Experian reports.0
