I was informed by British Gas today that the click for energy is no longer available and if it was I could not get it as a pre-payment customer.

Was arranging for the pre payment meter gas to be fitted. This was customer relations who told me this.

Yet I got a email early on to explain the different tariffs between standard and click. Confused, is not the word!

Anybody know different? Also as I owe debt for the Gas, can I get click? Thats if they still do it.

While you still owe them money they will insist on a pre-pay meter to make sure they get money back from you. Once you have paid your debt and are up to speed on your current usage they may consider allowing you to go to a Click tariff (think it may be called WebSaver now, im WS3?), but you may have to pay to remove the pre-pay meter

Above poster is correct, BG had six click tariffs, I'm on Click6, it was withdrawn some time ago to be replaced by the websaver tariffs, these are all internet tarrifs not available to prepayment customers.

If you are a low gas user then you might find that Equigas is competitive as they charge the same rate for credit and prepayment customers.
