Not if they wanted to lose their money they wouldn't!
Perhaps they didn't think that you would pay it back?0 -
I took out a £300 Provident loan/card in May,with repayments of £10.50 per week.
I thought this would be ok at the time I used the £300 to pay back a friend who I owed £50 to and the rest was spent on a weekend break.all good at the time :j then the payments start THE WEEK AFTER you recieve the cash OK £10.50 might not be a huge sum but that's £42 a month and you end up paying back about £550
I lost my job now can't afford the repayments. My advice would be to avoid if possible but if you REALLY need the money and can afford the silly repayments then yeah go for it0 -
worrieddan if you lost your job,you can cash cheque! When i dint have money i did that and in total i got 1000 during one month and i tried 5 shops who deal with cheques0

I take it that you will pay the bank their money back? If not you are committing cheque book fraud and will end up in jail.Magic_wizzard wrote: »well if you have cheque book, card garante, bank statment where it says you put money and proof of adress then you can chesh chque up to 5 to 6 hundred.
Writing cheques knowing that there are no cleared funds is illegal.Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0 -

Yes some people get desperate, but you do not rip off places, if you need a provident loan go for it but look at other options, all that wont have someone banging on your door or making the situation worse.
If Provident refused it must be quite bad!! I once resorted to that, yeh short fix bust so not worth it.xx:money: giving me & my darling boys a better cheaper life
