How can you "abuse" something that is an abuse itself.
Tesco have been abusing the manufacturers coupons for years by accepting them as cash! This is not "recent abuse". Manufacturers haven't been able to do much about it, given they had to accept Tesco's conditions which include them telling suppliers they won't police their coupons unless they make them exclusive to Tesco!
The problem now is that the "under the counter abuse" policy has become public knowledge thanks to a certain broadcaster banging on about it on TV.
Tescos have to now be seen to react to their abuse becoming general knowledge!0 -

My local store normally coupon friendly has notices on every till today, no coupons unless product bought.
Oh well it was good while it lasted.
