I wanna Cordless Phone that uses a Headset

I've just started a new job from home and would like to be able to use a headset with my cordless phone, however it doesn't seem to be compatable (it doesn't have a part where a jack lead can go in). So am now looking for a digital (DECT) phone that will take a headset that plugs into the handset. I have seen some headsets that are cordless and the reciever sits in the base unit but these seem rather expensive ie £70+ and I don't want to be spending that much.
I don't really know all my options on this either but I want to use the phone upstairs but the phone socket is downstairs. However I can at a push run a line upstairs with an extension....can anyone advise??

Yes, annoying isn't it - most of the adverts tell you all about really useful stuff like colour screen, alarm clock, number of rings, ring volume adjustable (!!) but b*gger all about headset jacks.
May be an idea to go to Comet, Currys, Link, CPW etc and ask - I had to do that a few years ago, eventually bought a Doro DECT, lifesaver for conference calls.
Didi spot a couple in the £40-60 range Googling "uk dect headset" (without the quotes):

Does you Doro have headset capability? What model is it? Thanks for the links too!0

Does anyone know if this is any good, found it on eBay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/New-original-unopened-NTL-D5001-Dect-add-h-set_W0QQitemZ9723454279QQcategoryZ67921QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem0

Have seen the NTL handsets in loads of high street shops. I'm not an ebay expert (or even a user), but £15 for 2 phones with headset jack sounds good (maybe you could post on the ebay board - "is this too good to be true..").
Mine is a Doro 8085 - unlikely to still be around, bought it over 4 years ago, great handset though - small, light, belt clip (almost like being on reality TV...).0 -
I've actually just submitted on offer on this one as I like BT phones and find them reliable! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=9712287012&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEBOFF%3AIT&rd=10
