    ow long have you had it, it takes quite a while to get going
  • Since the summer.
  • It doesn't necessarily need to heat up (stuff will rot down eventually anyway)
    And it won't at this time of year anyway; but will rot down real quick in a sunny spot in the summertime. For more info, have a look at www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/grapevine (if I'm allowed to post that)

    :jWe left ours for a whole year...and crikey was it ripe!
    I shovelled it all out onto the garden a few weeks ago and it's really good stuff.

    be patient....it will be worth it.

    Late in the year definately isnt a good time to start one. Same holds true with wormeries but just wait until spring, it will start to work quite quickly.

    Do you have a Starbucks coffee shop nearby? If so, it might be worth popping in and seeing if they have bags of used coffee grounds - they are not suitable for reuse as coffee but are fine for composts (and are bagged up for that purpose) if you can find the bags, they are usually free!

    I had a bin that was very slow starting. I put worms in there last year. Am really pleased with the result. Also you try covering with a bit of old carpet to keep it warm.:A
