Word of advice, if you are a laydee and have one of those big black plastic compost bins with a lift-off top, do not get drunk and decide to hoick yourself on top of it to apply the, um, accelerant. Even if nobody can see you, they will when you are eventually found and hauled out. :o

The Laydee is very funny :D

• There is a hedgerow weed flowering just now called Comfrey . This is a fabulous accelerator , free and no need to poise pricsilla over the plastic so to speak ! {in the same vein as percy over the porcelain } mind you if you have one of those wooden composts then please beware splinters.....Ouch!

:o er... there's a gadget for ladies here:

http://www.shewee.com/when.html

Apparently it featured on the Dragon's Den as a sure-fire product that women would go out and buy in their hundreds of thousands. I saw it in last Sunday's newspaper and (guess what?) it is selling like hot-cakes to gardeners, walkers, runners, skiers and goodness knows who else.

No excuse, now, ladies! :rotfl:

It has been pointed out to me that my aim is not as good as it may once have been in the past. Is there an adaptor available to make this product unisex ? Please feel free to move this post over to the techie forum if appropriate but I don't fancy changing my username to Steady_edie just yet.

They've been around for years! They were giving them away at Leeds festival in 2005, and I tried one then

Dare I mention that for a pound extra - you can get an extension pipe. :o

If the pipe is long enough, you could water the compost while sitting on the patio in the late evening, having a cuppa or a glass of wine.

Maybe that's an idea too far!

They are on Ebay for 3.95 plus 98p postage and packing - it's an extra 2p postage for every one you buy.

My daughter tells me that she went to a festival (Leeds, Reading of Glastonbury) where a cardboard receptacle was given out to girls. They stood up in the cubicles and when they emerged had to throw the receptacle into a giant skip. It was all going to be composted! She said it was hygenic, quick, far cleaner than festival toilets and a bit of a larf, too.

Kay, this has made my day - when I feel down, I'll think of you not having to move from your wine glass :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

From their site:
If you require more that 15cm please email us at sales@shewee.com – we can supply whatever length your require.

so your extra length shouldn't be a problem ;)
