Can I get this system cheaper?

Its the Acer Aspire Predator G7200 Defender...PC world/Dixons/Currys all do it for £799 and I can't find it anywhere else, but I'd rather not deal with that group...

Thank you all!

  • Why not consider building one yourself. You could do it for £650 I reckon, and thats with a faster processor. Of course if you really must have that wild case I guess you have no option...

  • Is it difficult to build a computer?
I built my dad's computer with his help about three years ago, but haven't done any others since, and I wouldn't know what to buy.
If you could suggest what I'd need, that'd be perfect :)

If you can live with a simpler case, then you can customise deals elsewhere for less. Just as an example, customise a 'Ultra Europa' from www.cyberpowersystem.co.uk to £707.25 with better processor, graphics and bigger disk (but no keyboard or mouse):

    # AMD Phenom™ X4 9950 Black Edition Quad-Core CPU w/ HyperTransport Technology
    # ATI Radeon HD 4870 1GB DDR5 Video Card
    # 4GB (2x2GB) PC6400 DDR2/800 Memory (Major Brand)
    # 1TB SATA-II 3.0Gb/s 16M Cache Hard Drive

    # Upgrade to Microsoft® Windows® 7 Home Premium (64-bit Edition)

A bit more pricey than what you were originally looking at, but quite a bit more stylish IMO!
