Cheers melorablack for getting back. I wondered if when Egg claimers have it done this way it gets reversed also but no-one ever reported it back like that. I think they just take against any balance you owe them regardless of arrears or not.
barclycard paid the refund to my credit card which has a zero balance i asked for a cheque they said they could not do that but they asked for my bank details and the money was there i 3-4 working days

Thanks for that stellaboy, glad it is getting sorted then.;)
  • They have to credit the account with the refund first then draw the cheque from the refund. It's so the audit trail can see where the refund came from. A cheque will follow don't worry.

I'm not sure that this is their intention with this one as they also sent us a letter informing us that our credit limit has been reduced so if they refund the credit to the card then we will be sitting way over our credit limit.

Sent a letter recorded delivery today so I will keep eveyone updated.

    Thanks for all your replies.
