Small victory over ntl!!!

Not sure if this is the right board, feel free to move it
Just wanted to share my small victory over ntl, we've been with them for nearly 2 years, hadn't really thought about what we were paying. OH loves sky sports (it's pretty much the only thing he watches) so we couldn't move to freeview and Sky weren't really cheaper.
Anyway, today we received our monthly bill, for £78.33 (I KNOW!!!), and I wondered if there was any way of reducing it. I called customer services and as quick as I could say 'we're paying a lot' the chap on the other end announced that we were due a discount and '[he] didin't know why it hadn't been issued yet'! I asked if this discount would be backdated to last June, which was when we started paying the larger amount.
As a result, just from picking up the phone my monthly bill for phone broadband and tv (inc Sky Sports) has been reduced by £21.34 to £56.99, for the same deal! I know this still seems a lot in some people's eyes but we don't go out a lot and we do watch the extra channels - this is probably our biggest luxury.
Anyway, just thought I'd share and if anyone's still with ntl it IS worth calling cos they can give huge discounts if you ask!
