Suspended from ebay

I have been saving for last 3 years to buy a motorbike. My dream came true I brought one 3 weeks ago. I decided to buy boots, gloves and a new set of mirrors from ebay.
2 days after passing my CBT i had an accident, I broke my feet and arm.
I wanted to cancel transactions with sellers but these gave me unpaid item strikes.
I have just found out that my ebay account is suspended.
Ebay was a part of my life, a place where I was buying and selling dvds and games for my sons.
How long will the suspention last for?

They should have said how long they were suspending you for, if they didn't then it is probably for good.

It is actually quite difficult to get suspended for being a non payer, we all have stories here of multiple non payers who we know are still buying. Just throw yourself on their mercy and see if they will reconsider you in a few months time.

You could explain to the sellers what happened and see if they will withdraw the strikes (if you offer to pay their lost fees they may be willing). Although just to warn you that people hear so many made up stories its hard to belive people when they are telling the truth.
  • Is it enough if I get rid of one strike only? Or do I have to pay fees to all 3 sellers?

Anyone knows how long this kind of suspention last for?

AS per my original answer if they didn't give you a time frame then it is probably for good.

You are unlikely to find any seller willing to remove the strike though, so if you are going to try that and are still in time then approach all 3 as you might just be lucky.

As a lot of buyers trying to get out of sales make up excuses, most sellers don't believe them. Be interesting to know what you told the sellers when you wanted to cancel. Better to have paid I'd have thought.. but that's by the way.

It might be worth approaching the sellers with proof of your accident. Couldn't hurt.
    My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j

When you click and confirm to buy something on Ebay thats it, you HAVE bought it and must pay for it, if you have a very nice seller they 'may' agree to cancel transaction at a later date if you no longer want/need the stuff but thats entirely up to them.

If you won and then didn't pay sorry but it's you who are at fault and its quite right you get thrown off Ebay.

Buyers come up with all sorts of excuses why they buy something and then can't pay, so no point trying to beg...

A broken arm and feet isn't too bad, and will repair themselves eventually. Are you saying the accident put you off from ever riding a bike again? If not, then you should just pay for and buy the items.

If you really don't want them but still want your ebay account, then why not just pay for the items then sell them on again?
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Ebay is full of liars- just had a seller claim that they haven't posted my item yet because their husband has been rushed into hospitial... funnily enough though they've been buying hair extentions and glue on buy it now, maybe it helps get them through this difficult time.

It's sad though, as it means the genuine cases get assumed to be lying as well.
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine. :p
