Citibank - No Credit Card

I am transferring to Citibank - current account/ savings account etc from Nationwide. I am interested to know why Citibank do not currently have a credit card?

Very strange!

Well their website has a credit card section and log in page:

    http://www.citibank.co.uk/personal/cards/

Can't see new application part on there though.
  • Citi do have cards. I have one myself with a 6.9% LOB offer.

No application and phoned them today - they not offering credit cards at the moment.
  • All current citicards are maintained by Egg now. Citibank has been closing all other subsidiaries except core banking since last year.

ah thanks for that - that would explain the reason behind it all.

I like to keep all the credit cards/ etc all in one place as it makes life easier.

Citibank was (and probably still is) bankrupt essentially as nobody will give them credit/money (although you seem quite happy to). Their affairs are being managed by all sorts of people.

I hadn't noticed that. Looks like I got my card (in March) just in time.
