DLA Bacs Payments

Hi everyone!

Hope someone can help. I was told that I had backdated money due and that it was sent out to me on Tuesday. I know they use bacs and presumed that i would get it tomorrow [3 days for bacs i think, so wed, thurs and then get friday] Looking forward to it as its a struggle at the moment, but had to phone today re something else and double checked when sent. She said today that it had only been actioned Tuesday and sent released yesterday [wednesday], but that i could still get it tomorrow as bacs works [D1 Wed -day of release D2 Thursday-with bacs D3 Frid into bank]. Does anyone know if this is right and if it should be in bank tomorrow? Im luck that Im with nat west because even if wont go in till next working day after friday it appears in nat west accounts on saturdays. But really would love to have it tomorrow? Does anyone have any info on bacs dla please?

Might go in Friday, it's a matter of when it got sent out by the DWP. Best bet would be looking Saturday as that seems more likely.

I do it all because I'm scared.
  • Thanks! It depends on the time sent? Wonder if DLA release money in blocks or individually.

As a rule DLA will generally say 5 to 7 working days for a bacs payment depending on what bank you use.
