Barclays Reserve Fee

Is there any chance of being able to reclaim all the reserve fee bank charges I have incurred or have Barclays managed to cover themselves with this new style charge?
I also sent the 1st letter (data protection) to Barclays back in Feb asking for a list of charges which they never responded to, unfortunately, having suffered a dose of apathy, I stupidly did not follow this up. I'm not sure if i should start the process again, or carry on regardless...
Please advise. I shall definitely be following up this time!
Many thanks

2 things really, was the request in February sent recorded delivery and was the £10.00 fee enclosed?
If it was enclosed was it cashed?
The second thing is that the Reserve fee is not part of the FSA waiver but is within the OFT test case. You can cancel the reserve which will save you £22.000 -

So are you saying that you can make a claim for Barclays Reserve fees?
I thought that were exempt from being reclaimed.

You definitely can claim them.ExNicotineQueen wrote: »So are you saying that you can make a claim for Barclays Reserve fees?

Does it work in the same fashion as other bank charges reclaims? i.e you send a request for them to refund the fees and then they send you a letter basically saying no, we agree they are fair, and then you proceed to start court action whereby your case gets stayed until the result of the test case?0

I did send it registered yes, and I am sure I would have put a cheque in there. I will cheque to see if it was cashed. I have kept the proof of posting though.
I am thinking of claiming under hardship - they have already given me a goodwill payment of £900 this year, in April after I made a complaint by phone last Sept (08). It was a very welcome surprise but sadly it wasn't quite enough to dig myself out of a hole.Barclays loan - £18,000.00  - Natwest Credit Card - £4130.00
