Oh how I love the *Best Offers* on ebay, some of them are an insult! I admit if I am going to buy something, and it has a best offer option, I do usually make an offer, but only if it was say £25, I would offer £23.50, that kind of level. But, how come whenever I get an offer for something I am selling, its usually an insult! Yesterday, got an offer of £12 for something listed for £21, and an offer of £4 for a £8.99 listing. Makes me feel like emailing them back and , errrrrr swearing! I wish you could find out the full id of those that make an offer, so I could offer them a pittance for something they sell, see how they like it!:rotfl:

but maybe you maske them angry by trying to charge £21 for something thats worth only £12 to them.0

If best offers offend you then dont offer the option. Its no big deal, just decline them.0

I did best offer for a while but like you had some really daft offers and it started to get silly so I don't do it anymore. One buyer offered £5.00 and wanted free P&P on something I was selling for £29.99 with P&P at £3.90 ... yeah right... toddle on.

...... some people......... so deep. I offer the option because I do get a lot of realistic offers that I am happy to receive.
I agree Loopy, some people dont know the meaning of a sensible offer do they!Official member of the BB B*tches club. no 2 B*tch.

Where does it say "sensible" offer?
It states best offer. Someone may have offered a low amount because they dont have any more money, they may want to buy it and resell it, they may not even want it but will take it off your hands for a low price.
To be honest, when I see a best offer tag, I assume the seller is desperate to get rid of something which may well be junk or broken so if I am interested I offer them a sum which I can afford to lose if its crap.0 -
a seller was selling about 10 of the same item for £15 with £2.99 p&p, i offered £10 INCLUDING p&p and it was accepted!
The item was a PC Plum Balamory outfit, all authentic and sealed and when it arrived it was fine.
So that's why people offer silly amounts; sometimes you may just get that item!!0 -
If you don't ask you can't get! Maybe the seller would be glad to free up the space or may not have had any bids and is getting anxious about the item selling.DMP mutual support number 174Total debt now (April 10) £0! - total paid off £30,221 or 100%I'm now debt free after 6 years!!:jNon smoker since June 2006 :j0
