A mate has just got rid of his after 1 year, he had random electrical faults, it cut out on him regularly for no apparent reason and the engine packed on on his way to trade it in for his new car. Have a look at the parkers forum especiallt the owners problems section.0

Next time you're in WHsmiths or tesco, pick up some of the car mags. Most will have a quick guide section at the back that has an at a glance review to most current cars. Check a few and you should get some views on the car and its value for money.0

My cousin has a Laguna estate. It's only an 04 or 05 model (it's a private plate so can't remember). Her car just wouldn't start at all last week. There was nothing. It was the electrics and she needed a new computer. She got it under warranty. She got it serviced at the Renault dealer (so her warranty would be valid) and it cost her £260. I thought that was pretty steep.0

Would not get one father in law bought one a year ago 52 plate and had nothing but problems with egr valve, plus central locking + tyre valves+electrics basically everything ,so he px it for a toyota and in doing so lost £2000 but was very happy someone took it off his hands.
Took garage a few months to get rid of, finally at an auction where they are finding them very difficult to sell to anyone. So all in all I would recommend not buying one unless you like unreliable motoring it's ashame really because they look great!!0
