Tesco 'substituted items' policy

    I had a delivery from Tesco earlier this week, which had two substitutions.

    The first was real Coco Pops, instead of Tesco's own - the children were impressed!

    The second was an order for two packs of 4 pieces of Tesco's own breaded chicken. By way of replacement, they sent me two packs of Birds Eye breaded chicken, which were about 50p cheaper for the two. However, there were only two pieces of chicken in each one! Why didn't they send me four packs, and only charge me the Tesco price?
