I keep a pair of the foldable ones in my bag too - No sharp points to catch me on.
As well as lots of posts on here about lots of coupon use there seem to be threads popping up about it quite regularly as well.0 -

I was sat in the waiting room at the hospital a couple of weeks ago and decided to look at the magazines. First mag I picked up had a couple of moc in, I hesitated as I wanted to rip them out but managed to resist and put the mag down.
Luckily I got called in a couple of minutes later otherwise I might not have held out.
I should add the waiting room was quite crowded so everyone would have spotted me had I took the moc's.

My local Tesco is once again checking all coupons.
I have only a small amount of MOC's inc FT and Guardian (which are day sensitive) pik a pak, occassional moc in post and a coupon net if I'm lucky so it makes sense for me to go in every day, and pay under a pound for my shopping.
I am well above the radar as I have been using coupons for at least 9 months now.
I have read the national policy over and over again and nowhere does it mention that what I am doing is wrong.
Yes I know I am being talked about amongst the staff, the CA person said yesterday in front of the supervisor that was checking my coupons, that she thought all coupons should be stopped "as it was taking the mick".
Note to myself - must grow a thicker skin and step up the search to find more coupons.
Yeah i shop at the same T,s
I was there yesterday had mines checked i have no problem with that, As like the girl that checked mine said It stamps out the PEOPLE using The Dodgy mag coupons and Split shopping:j
Note to myself - lol0 -
I took my car for servicing at the toyota garage and had to wait in the sitting area, there were quite a few mags and yes you guessed I found one with a coupon in, well if you could have seen me trying to tear this coupon out without being seen, I was looking round like a criminal to see if there were cameras and trying to look innocent as I ripped it out thing was it was only for 30p0

MsConfused wrote: »Hi everyone. First time posting in this thread but spent all last night catching up on the old one. Just wondering if everyone else's Tesco is in complete chaos? I went Monday night and the queues were massive so went back Tuesday, even longer. My parents went last night and said it seemed even worse than my description. Someone said that people are printing off loads of the pedigree vouchers - but I don't see how that can get £100 knocked off like some people were having by only using 1 (or even 2 if your buying the thing) unless Im missing something with those. I can't see them keeping this up, as apparently they've had to drag in staff who don't work there anymore to keep up with the queues! Personally I've always been a bit too embarrased to use a voucher if I havent bought the thing (fair play to those who use them within the rules though!) but now I feel like I'm a sucker for having to queue and pay full price!
What do you reckon - should I walk on the dark side?!
You go for it girl! I think this is a brilliant way to get people spending again which is just what the economy needs to get out of this economic crisis. Think about it, if people are spending/buying then manufacturing companies benefit from the sales of their goods for Tesco to sell. You already said you have seen where they are re-hiring people that used to work for them so they are contributing to decreasing the amount of people on unemployment benefits, which is a relief to the taxpayers. It will have a big knock on affect as other industries will benefit from Tesco selling the goods as quick as they get them on the shelves. Manufacturer's of the goods will benefit from the sales the get from Tesco, the transport companies will benefit (the goods have to get to the store somehow and someone has to drive it there!). Then you need mechanics to service the delivery vehicles, the people that make the parts for the delivery vehicles. That's just the beginning of the domino affect there will be on the economy. As for the manufacturer's whose coupons are being used as "money" to buy things other than for the product in which the coupon states it is for, they still sell their goods with the help of those coupons. I'm sure I'm not the only person that has actually bought the product with the coupon, plus if it had not been for the coupon I would have bought another brand altogether! So the manufacturer's for the most part aren't losing out as much as people might think. I have got hooked on specific products now due to coupons, things I would never have bought so those manufacturer's now they have repeat business from me. So again, I say the manufacturer doesn't lose out on much. I think it is absolutely brilliant and for Tesco, well they stay big and powerful and admired as "heroes" for virtually single-handedly getting the economy going again!:j Tesco has 99.9% of all my business which I see as good business! After all, my business contributes towards their sales and their profits. If I were one of their competitors I would implement a coupon policy in my stores and give Tesco some healthy competition!;)Murphy knows me too well and sticks to me like glue!0 -
Think I need help :eek::eek::eek:
Just been to the Doctors and found a 50p NSS coupon in one of the magazines. Couldn't stop myself from ripping it out & putting it in my handbag. If that wasn't bad enough, I was considering getting hold of a pair of small scissors for future occasions!
Is there a Coupons Anonymous Group I can join please:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Surely I'm not the only person who has a pair of lightweight scissors in their handbag? Used mostly for cutting out printed coupons when on the bus, or waiting for something (like when on the phone to a call centre!!!). I have cut a coupon out of a newspaper at a hotel before, but I did ask a member of staff first!
I see from above I'm not - sorry - replied before realsiing I wasn't on the last page - this thread moves so fast - I struggle to keep up!0 -
Not had a Tesco fix for a few days, and deffo getting withdrawal symptons. Hope they haven't stopped taking coupons in my absence.
Thanks to PC etc for all your hard work:A0 -

Hi Sher, I agree with you in principle..if coupons are being used legitimately but I think what Msconfused is reporting is abuse of the pedegree mocs...it was bound to happen as the way couponsmart is set up you can literally print hundreds of the same unique coupon off if you wish...only one of which will get redeemed by the manufacturer....0
