Does anyone know how this "trial" is going with Tesco? What's the current opinion on it being made permanent?
I think it will last to Christmas, then may be restored. At present they are offering double Clubcard points, they are approaching the busiest time of year, they are probably hoping they can ride out the storm. Most MOCs have a fairly short use by date, my money is on back to normal in January.:j

i got an old trout at waitrose today
she winged about the £3.15 nurefen one out of last weeks sun and said "Tescos stopped there coupon policy and there all coming here its not fair on us"
they allow 6 coupons now its 6 coupons max £10 and she also mumbled that i cant just buy £12 and have a tenner off

I don't blame her for whinging, that Neurofen one was for Lloyds Pharmacy only! Ooops:eek:

    Agreed.

Without wishing to lecture anyone(!), please, please be careful, newbie1980, to check that your Waitrose stock the EXACT item on each coupon you use there, unless you want to cause Waitys to change their policy as well!

Even though it didn't have the Lloyds Pharmacy logo it had the same style barcode as the other
LP one just above it in the same paper, which kind of made it obvious to any regular couponer. It wasn't a 99 barcode so was not meant for Supermarkets (and I understand no-one who posted about it found the twin-pack Neurofen pictured, in a Supermarket either).

See my reply above, IMHO COUPONGIRL is right and you are wrong my friend.

Get your facts right. Didn't you notice the barcode wasn't a Supermarket one and AFAIK the exact product wasn't stocked in Waitrose either (it's NOT just 'Nurofen'?).

You have to be even more careful with barcodes in Waitrose than in Tesco, because many stores just type in the amount of the coupon rather than scan it (it wouldn't have scanned). That's £6.30 in just 2 mocs your local Waitys got from you and won't be able to get their money back on...
