i regullaly freeze killos at at time from france... i luv french cheese
and its cheaper there.
you can chop it up into managable chuncks then freeze it and it becomes crumbly, great for cooking, but hard to grate, so grate it whilst it s frozen.1. i'm bi polar.:rotfl:2. carer for two autistic sons.:A 3. have a wonderful but challenging teenage daughter. 4. have a husband that is insatiable. 5. trying to do an open degree.0 -

The rule I usually use is if the item has a months date left when you freeze it I would keep it for a month, if it has three days then no longer than three days etc.
On the other hand I don't have a rule when it comes to cheese because it goes green when its off!!0 -
Mum2Hannah wrote: »Asda policy on overcharge is they give you the difference of the overcharge back (in your case would be 50p) + a £2 gift card (I suppose it's a way for them to apologise). This £2 gift card is, many times, not given unless one asks for it...;):D the CSA's seem to forget them very easily...:p:rolleyes: so, if you have been overcharged you should receive £2.50 back... I'm back to freezing milk since Black Friday. I buy a big milk and then pour it into the 1ltr bottles that I have saved. I keep one out and freeze the rest. It's cheaper to buy the bigger bottles but since it's just 2 of us a big one usually goes off faster than we can use it.
Freeze bread and take out only what you need.
Late evening shopping at all supermarkets gives bargains to freeze for as little as 10p - bread plus fruit & veg aisles. (note, some veg has to be blanched before freezing)0 -

Wonder if any of the conundrums on Countdown this week have been 'PERMANENT'
Have to admit I went to T's today, ( I know, I know !!!) but it's only 1 mile away.Used £2.50 F/Food and £4 Pinecone and 30p bread moc.All SA's were lovely and I had discussions at CS and at the tills....they did say no-one else had been to CS to even ask about it and it was just as busy as on a normal Friday afternoon....one of SA's had bought a lot of mocs from ebay and was now trying to sell them on there...she had paid £30 for some Iams mocs and was trying to sell them for £10.None of them knew that Waitrose took mocs without buying the product , but we don't really have one within reasonable distance to make it worth a regular visit, but I may visit it once a month ...I know some of you will disapprove...sorry...was short on time and would have to drive past T's to get to Morrisons and mess about finding £1 coins for parking and a trolley...don't have to do that at any of our local T's.0
