No I'm stuck with my name as well. If you want to change it you have to go through a pile of red tape and contact moderaters, just as easy to live with it.0

Thanks to BigTony on pts
Dear Tony
I am sorry for the delay in replying to your email. We would normally reply to all email correspondence in 48 hours but due to a high Customer contacts we have been unable to do this. We are working hard to resolve this and return to our normal service levels.
Many thanks for you enquiry regarding our policy on accepting discount coupons and thank you too for your support via your online forum.
We have made a change in our policy in response to media coverage. We used to accept one coupon of each type even though a customer had not bought the products related to the coupon provided that we sold it in the store concerned. If they tried to use multiple coupons of the same type, they did need to purchase the product before we would honour any more.
The change was introduced on 4th October, but it is not true that we are refusing to accept coupons. We still accept the coupons, but now only if customers purchase the related product in accordance with the conditions on the coupons. The change has been made in response to media articles informing customers that they can redeem coupons in large numbers with us. We have been aware that there was some abuse of our coupon policy, but we have been prepared to tolerate the low level of this until now. We will still also accept discount vouchers (e.g. £5 off if you spend £50 or more) from our competitors at a Store manager's discretion. This is unchanged and depends on whether there is a competitors store nearby.
I hope that this information helps and that you can circulate this via your online forum. If you need anything further please let me know and thank you for taking the time to contact us.
If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact us at customer.service@tesco.co.uk
Kind Regards
Alan Gordon
