bulgariafairy wrote: »hey all, I managed to get hold of the message that was sent to all the stores by tesco head office (friend who works there gave it to me) so here goes:
'Recent media articles informing customers that internet and supplier coupons can be redeemed in large quantities at tesco even if they have not bought the product has led to us making the decision to only accept coupons for products purchased by the customers. This also complies with the terms and conditions written on each coupon'.
says it all I suppose, thought you might like to see.
Bet ML won't be going back on to GMTV and saying 'My Bad' (Sorry don't like that phrase but sums it up really) If, like me you don't like the phrase perhaps you should learn to Chillax!:mad::p Have a good [STRIKE]Tesc[/STRIKE][STRIKE]Asd[/STRIKE]WHO? day - Err....I still wish Mozzies had a better website even though they are now on MyS!

Thanks all (and Gill) keep up the good work!!!
Had a trip to Lidl and Morrisons on Monday, got quite a few bargains at both of them (most of which have already been mentioned). Youngest Son loves spaghetti hoops, so thought we'd try the Lidl ones at 19p - they are gross! Thankfully we only bought 2 tins of them, and the Heinz ones were on special at Morrisons so we stocked up on them. Also got some real bargains at Morrisons - organic fresh bread for about 20p, 4 big sausage rolls for 75p, 2 big pasties for 75p, 2 sweet pies for 25p and 5 rum & raisin doughnuts for 15p (never had them before) - not good for the waistline most of those bargains but hey ho!
Somebody mentioned the other day about using loads of eggs (think it might have been Moyilla?) Do you have a farm shop or anything near you? We have 2 local farmers that pull up at the side of the road each weekend (right near Tesco:D) each of them sell fruit and veg etc dirt cheap. From one of them we get a sack of 25kg of spuds and 30 free range eggs for £6.
Bargain spend of the day today was the Guiness Book of Records and DS Game in WH Smiths for £10 that was posted on here. That's 2 presents sorted out for my eldest for Christmas.
Mrs A :bdaycake: Happy Birthday - Hope you have had a lovely day.
Now I need to make a confession for I have sinned. I sent OH to the darkside tonight, spending the grand sum of £0.29 on a pack of 4 yoghurts. In my defence I have searched Aldi, Lidl and Morrisons and I cannot find yoghurts anywhere near as cheap. However I do understand that I have sinned and I will take my punishment like a woman (not like a wimpy man lol!). Also can the prosecution note that I didn't ask my OH to buy my cigs there either - I have told him to pick me them up from Morrisons on his way home tomorrow - so please take that into account when passing sentence.:D:D:D0 -
The darkside- I like that!!:rotfl: Anyway, just thought I`d say that I had 2 Co-op leaflets put through the door earlier- some good offers in them, incl. a bag of Cox apples for 70p, a 2 pack of Thirst Pockets for £1, Daz(30tablets) for £2,half price chicken, half price topside,2 Warburtons loaves for £1, cheese- buy 1 get 1 free, etc, etc. Will list some more if anyone wants to know- all offers end on Oct 20th. May be worth a look :j0

haha good one!! I emailed customer services on friday with a short sharp message, they called me today for a follow up and apologised for my feelings regarding the policy. i replied with a very detailed breakdown of how we were being punished as a result of staff being poorly trained and abusers getting away with murder etc, and send the same one to sir terry. without getting shirty i should add too. done all i can now i think.Won't buy nuffink without a discount0 -

I must say I switched to Waitrose before this happened after my Tesco started taking less and less.
I agree that Waitrose staff are all polite and properly trained in customer service which makes food shopping much nicer in itself.
The stores are clean and great reductions which is what I mainly go for.
I was given a £5 off voucher today to use on a £30 shop there next week, thank you Waitrose.0 -
