Im sure the lads in the garage will know someone who they can sell it. You could offer them a % cut if they can sell it Sammy, that will encourage them!

Men in their early 40s - it's then their turn to wobble and have the mid-life crisis/find an 18 year old/buy a red Porsche

Now that sounds like a good idea... :D

Snags I honestly think you should just bail out now...and I thought you were having some time off from men !!

I was...but last weekend I sat at home, totally on my own, bored senseless and so lonely it was like a pain in my stomach. I really think I might go mad if I don't go out, meet new people etc.

And it's very difficult to make new female friends - I can't go to any clubs or classes or anything because I have the kids every evening, and running/gym are pretty solitary things, so I'm never going to meet anyone that way.

I'm just not going to get VERY involved with anyone. And I will have to behave for the forseeable in any case as I am still mid-decorating and don't have a proper bedroom, or even a bed...and I can hardly go back to his... :rotfl:

I think ( being the harbinger of doom here :rotfl:) that the older we get, the more probability of a hassle/baggage/'someone else in the background'-free 'serious' relationship lessens as each year goes by.

I was married with two kids (and living with my ex OH as seperate people) when I met my OH but it was the first thing I told him....not being funny but if he is still living with his wife....steer clear..he has not exactly been up front so far has he.....

At least he told me before the date I guess. And no, he doesn't wear a wedding ring.

I'm not convinced there will be any chemistry to be honest anyway, but going out for a drink sounds more appealing than another Saturday night sitting at home on my own.

I agree. If he says (or you know) 'I am married, this is nothing more than something on the side', then you know where you stand and it's then a choice of where it goes. Of course, that works both ways, women as well as men can already be with someone, I was still with my ex when I met my OH, but he knew from the start I was with someone. We split 3 months later and lived separately (literally like 2 housemates even down to our own shopping and shared loo roll!!) for another 8 months before I bought my own place.

If the only thing you get from this night is a load of laughs then it was worth it.
