Hi.
I'm going through a divorce. Court(Sheriff court) been unable to get my ex to answer the papers. So lawyer has to get Sheriff Officers. Only problem is I aint sure where he lives these days.
Its a simplified dissolution. However. I just got told the other day I should find out if he has any money that I can get. Somebody even told me if he is working, he can be forced to provide me maintance?
I have no idea and would feel bad asking my lawyer this. Anybody able to advice?

Sorry, but that's what you need to do I think!
Why do you feel you would be entitled to maintenance? Do you have children who reside with you? Did you give up a career to support your partner in some way?
I can't see any other reason why you would be granted maintenance to be honest0
