Potatoe storage bags serve 2 purposes, Allow ventilation and prevent light turning pototoes green.
They do not prevent potatoes sprouting as when it is time for that, their inbuilt clock will start the process.
Vegetable storage bags are no good for potatoes because they let in light.
Last Potatoe bags I got were from a Pound Store, but not seen any for a while?

Handy though. I'm about to dig some potatoes up and I've never stored them before, was an interesting read. Chip shop for me I think...:)

😂 i’ve just read the whole thread and found it very informative.😂

I recycle brown paper bags which I put the spuds into, then they get hung in tote bags in the shed. Cool dark and airy.

I did wonder about buying spread bags from Lakeland but would prefer to make something if I could - although my system seems to work.

    Yes, it is handy information.
The reason necroposting is frowned on is because people waste their time giving advice to somebody who no longer needs it - I doubt the OP is still considering buying a potato bag.
    Hence my warning about necroposting.
